Profile

John returned to college after several years working, mainly in Technical Support. He received a degree in Music Technology at NUIM Maynooth. He is involved with electronic music production and has had some work with audio production. He is currently studying for a Ph.D that is part of the Emovere project.

The research is concerned with emotion recognition in speech and is broken into two areas. He is involved with the analysis of speech assets to obtain acoustic correlates of emotion in speech. The research is in collaboration with the application of advanced ML techniques.
